Creative Combat: Preemptive Peace & Multilevel Governance Solutions to the Burmese Crisis

As an academic, I have no interest in the Burmese problem in order to promote a person (Suu Kyi), political party (Democracy for Burma), religion (Buddhism), country (US, UK, China etc), or corporation. My interest is in truth and justice and finding preemptive peaceful multilevel governance solutions to international problems. If the Burmese ambassador to the UN really wanted to have his accusations of "neo-colonial" conspiracy against his country ring with credibility...then TRANSPARENCY SHOULD BE NO ENEMY TO THEIR TRUTH. What makes his claims of western opportunism "incredible" is he makes these claims while allowing no opportunity for verification...so people like me who may be willing to give him an airing and put weight on neo-colonial and dependency theory arguments, find his claims without merit...

The pen is mightier than the sword…Hi-Tech communications is mightier than the gun..bomb..Okay...I've said it before and I'll say it again..the junta will not pay attention to "world" opinion. The only thing it will pay attention to are the corporations who are continuing to line their pockets and empowering them. Why is the media not focusing its attention on Total of France and Thailand, Dae Woo of Korea, Chevron,CNOO of China and banks and institutions in Singapore, and elsewhere who launder money for the junta and circumvent sanctions?. Go to see the complete dirty list of companies at http://www.burmacampaign.org.uk/dirty_list/dirty_list_details.html Creative Combat preemptive peaceful solutions:

1. Take full page ads with dirty list of companies appealing to them to use their "influence" on the junta to stop the killing

2. Picket not the Burmese embassies all over the world since it's a waste of time and resources..but focus on headquarters of dirty list companies

3. Organize bands of PROTEST PAPARAZZI who will act as I reporters hounding junta company CEOs

4. Organize call for mass, timed, shares of stock sell offs of dirty list companies...

These friends are what will work...and alter junta behavior...not sanctions, UN, US pressure etc..they know the can get around it because they have their cash cows still milking..
